February 29, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With our consumption habits, our way of life is not sustainable. With our culture conflicts, wars seem to be inevitable. With our desire to make life better for ourselves and families, a modification to our civilization is within reach. With our ability to govern ourselves, we can find a path that leads us to the good life. With a Descent Checklist for our Civilization, we can find ourselves giving our descendants a society they can be proud of and one in which that we can be content with as we pass from this life.

A Descent Checklist for our Civilization is a short book that may take only 30 minutes to read. It presents 12 ideas in 12 chapters that re-write specific parts of history to show that turning points in our life can be found and capitalized upon to bring the good life to all. Some of the topics addressed are natural selection, conservation of electricity, water desalination plants, teaching principles and leadership. Integrating the 12 ideas into our common knowledge is an important adjustment to our perspective.

The 13th chapter presents a new future in which all civilization is based upon the usage of a calorie budget. Everyone needs to eat and the use of this skill by all will help unite us to confront the challenges of our limited natural resources. People of the United States are asked to petition their Governors to adopt a resolution integrating the use of a calorie budget into everyday life (see Project 13. Conserving food is an important first step for us to learn how to conserve all of our resources before they get depleted.
