HOW TO USE THE TEXT ADS ON WOM VEGAS
Get exposed by using the WOM Vegas text ad auction. The Coffee shop has had 873,553 views (as of AUG 19, 2010) and there are lots and lots of ad spaces available for advertising on the left column of the Coffee Shop Chat Room. Some people think that the only positions to bid on are the top three ads in the Coffee Shop, but I totally disagree. Do you scroll down in the Coffee Room chat room to see what comments are being made? I do it all the time, and many others do also. That is why the ads are good all the way down in the Coffee Shop. >>> They are seen!Â
Next to the ads in the Coffee Shop, the ads in the Premium Chat Rooms get the next amount of exposure. The City Chat Rooms are not being used much yet, but they still get some exposure by people who look in the rooms to see if there are any posts in the chat room for their town. As soon as there is more traffic in individual City Chat Rooms there will be options for placing ads targeting people in those cities.
Advertising is not just about how many clicks you get, but how much exposure you get. Putting your domain name in your text ad and/or in your pic in your ad, gives exposure to your website. The more people see that name, the more chance there is that when they run across it online in the future, they will want to go there to see what you have updated on your website.
Start bidding on these ads now by going to Account > Advertise > Create Ad (either with pic or text only) to save your ad.Â
After you have saved an ad, then go to Account > Advertise > Bid on Ads.Â
Decide where you want your ad to be placed. The ads that appear in the Coffee Shop only appear in the Coffee Shop, which is the chat room on WOM Vegas with the most traffic. The ads in the City Chat Rooms will appear in all of the City Chat Rooms. The ads in the Premium Chat rooms will appear in the all the Premium Chat Rooms (except for the chat rooms that belong to Topaz customers, or chat room that are in Convention Rooms, because the Promo Kit customers who control those chat rooms have the ability to add info in their side-bars to the left of those chat rooms).
The word "position" refers to the placement of the ad. Position 1 is the top, and position 20 is the furthest down. Notice where the ad where be (i.e. Coffee Shop, Premium Chat Rooms, City Chat Rooms). Pick a position and click on it.
The word "rotation" refers to 1/12 of the time an ad comes up on the position you are bidding on. It makes no difference what number of the rotation is, except for the fact that more rotations are available for Promo kit customers to bid on, and the free members may only bis on three of the rotations. HOWEVER, all the rotations come up just as many times and are equal as far as advertising value and exposure. (It is beneficial to be a Promo Kit customer, because there is less competition for bidding on rotations 4 through 12). Click on "bid" to bid on a rotation.
Select which one of your saved ads you want to use for on your bid. Enter the amount of your bid (the default number that comes up in the box is 10 points above the current highest bid, and if there are no current bids the default number that comes up in the box will be 10 points above the minimum bid. You can change the bid amount to what you are willing to bid.
Secret Bid - this is optional. You can enter an amount above your bid that will secure that ad for you if somebody bids on that ad UP TO the amount you enter as your Secret Bid.Â
When you submit your bid, a box will appear telling you WHEN your bid will display, and WHERE your ad will display, and WHEN the end of the auction for this ad will be.
To check back later on and see how your bids are going, go to Account > Advertise > Your Bids.
I can testify that these ads work. The only promoting I have had time to do for my website in the past four months is posting these ads on Tim Drobnick's websites, and my traffic on my marketing website is up 30%. (my website is NOT high volume - I only use it when it is easier for me to have my own stuff instead of using the other affiliate pages I have on other websites.)
You can use these ads to link to your chat room or convention room on womvegas.com, or you can link to affiliate pages on other websites, or to promote what you want to promote (as long as it is legal and not naughty or distasteful).
Do not worry about offending anyone by bidding against them in the auction, everybody knows that is what auctions are all about.

WHAT DOES WOMVEGAS SELL?
In a nutshell >>> Online Advertising and Business Services
The product and service that is being sold at WomVegas is Internet advertising; and not just to marketing people. WomVegas was built and designed to attract lots of people from many walks of life and locales.
After placing hundreds of text ads, I have a better handle on how to tell people how to use the text ad auctions on WomVegas. Now it is time for me to find folks who want to use the free and upgraded memberships on womvegas.com to increase their over-all online exposure. The text ad auction is the best way for new members of WomVegas to get started doing some promoting, if they are here to promote. I will be setting up a new convention room just for how to use the advertising auction.
Right now, the coffee shop chat room is the best place to meet some real people, and have fun sending gifts, and playing BINGO, and keeping track of birthdays, and socialize. Therefore the text ads on the left side-bar in the coffee shop is good exposure. As WomVegas grows, it will be even more valuable ad space.
In my opinion, the city chat rooms on WomVegas will be the most active and best advertising spots in the future. For the most part, the city chat rooms are not being used yet, because there has not been a concerted effort to get people using them. However, I am currently working on a system for anyone on WomVegas to use city chat rooms for getting referrals by sending people to them, and make WomVegas more fun, more profitable, and more popular.
Many WomVegas affiliates are busy lining up marketing people in their down-line and are promoting the business opportunity for earning money by working the MLM part of the business, which is womderful, but WomVegas has tremendous potential for sales agents who just want to sell advertising to businesses.

Remember that you can click on the "url" link under any post in any chat room, like this one, and get the link to this post, which already has YOUR ID TRACKING in the url, and then you can post the link on your twitter, facebook, myspace, friendfeed, OL, or any social network you use. Isn't that an awesome tool? (thanks Tim). You can add &tid= to the end of the post url, and put whatever you want after the = (no spaces!) and you will be able to keep track of where you posted it.
TWITTER TIP >>> If you are going to use the same url over and over on a twitter account, from any website, I recommend using different tracking codes at the end of the urls or using different shortened urls, because if you use the same exact url over and over, the twitter crawlers will think you are spamming, and you will be suspended from showing up in feeds on twitter.

The answer is simple: POINTS! Having points at WomVegas, for free members and upgraded members, allows you to promote any business or organization with text ads on WomVegas pages, and participate in activities like building the future Wom Vegas strip. Any WomVegas members that you refer, and all the members they refer, and members down to 15 levels under you, will be earning points for you, because for any points they get you will get points equalling 10% of the points that they get.
