Tips for City Promoters
Write a great description of the biz and the website. You want to have descriptive words to describe the biz for the best clicks from Twitter and you will need to add a longer description to describe the business and add the website. You are looking for click thrus to the business. If you take your time and do this you will find you will get lots of traffic. You can take the information right from the business website!
In your description that gets tweeted to Twitter, make sure you add the City and State at the end of your description. That way if folks from twitter is from your city they will click the link. Take a look at New York New York biz description I have done here. click here

Another thing I do is not let members place ads in my City Chat Area. To me this does not look good if and when local businesses come by to add a business. If you have ads in your chat Room then no one will click on City Biz. They stop right there. This is just my opinion and I am following what the rules are. It says:

Many If Not Most of our Great City Promoters are Ladies which are doing a great Exemplary Job Which most of us Need To Follow .So For Practical Purposes I am Using the Term Brotherhood & Not Sister/Brotherhood .All City Promoters Male and Female Submit Your Vote on How you want to Vote on Using the 2nd Term or 1rst Term . I Will make it a habit to use on with most Votes. please Vote on Term and Majority will Prevail I my self Will Go Either Way Thanks Everyone .

Hello Sergio, Thanks for the Invite. Well for me being a City Promoter From Quite Early On here, I have Found the Best Way Forward is to Visit and Contact as Many Local Businesses in Your City, and Initially offer them a FREE Business Listing. Explain that you are Able to Direct Traffic to the City Business Listings, which will get Their Business Seen. You can then Offer them the Opportunity of Taking Control of their Own Listing, and mention about them being able to be a FEATURED Business of the Week, Adding additional Information, Photo's Etc of their Business as they Wish. Once they are a Member Of Wom Vegas, then let them see all the Other Features available to them !!! Classified Ads, Banners, COUPONS, Mobile Deals Etc Etc. Once you Build up a Directory or Businesses in Your City, Ensure that you Tweet The Listings, and Try to get as Many Viewers and as Much Traffic to Your City Listings. When the Businesses see how much additional Traffic and Viewings there Business is Getting, You hopefully will get them to Do More Business With you Through Wom Vegas. Get some Business Cards made up, and Promote, Promote, Promote, Your City to ALL Businesses in Your Area, and Give them a FREE Listing !!! Hope this Helps.

Hi Sergio, thanks for including me in your chat room. We have used the featured biz of the day for the Denver Promotional Room in the past. Once a week we would choose one of our listings to give away the FBD. I would call them to let them know they had won and tell them we were going to promote their biz in multiple places on the the site. We have a chat room where we promoted their biz along with promoting it in the free for all room and the coffee shop as well as Twitter.
We haven't been following thru with this for quite some time. It was pretty effective at the time, though. Just a little time consuming. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.
